Hi, I am Linda C. Miller MSSW, LMFT LCSW
I am Licensed in Kentucky as a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Clinical Social Worker. I completed my Bachelors of Science in Sociology at The University of Louisville and my Masters in Clinical Social Work also at the University of Louisville, Kent School of Social Work.
I am a native of Louisville, KY. I finished my Master in Social Work and Marriage and Family Therapy in 2007. I left my wonderful hometown to live in Big Sky Country - Kalispell, Montana. My husband and I were there for a year before moving to Tennessee, where we lived for six years. We have returned to Louisville and I am excited to be back in my hometown and serve the people of this community.
My experience at Western Montana Mental Health Center, where I worked with children and their families at home, in school, and community settings, helped me grow as a clinician and therapist. I developed a deep appreciation for families who are faced with challenges from mental health to economics to substance abuse and other struggles.
Upon arriving in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, I began my work with Centerstone America. At Centerstone I worked with children and their families in a clinical office setting. I applied my family systems training, Narrative Therapy practices, and love for the work I do, toward helping families discover and utilize their own skills, identify their values, and live into their preferred stories. It is an honor to work with people in their own environments, we learn so much about the realities they come in contact with in their daily lives. I began my private practice in Murfreesboro, TN in 2010 and worked with Adults in individual therapy, with couples, children, and whole families. I spent four years serving these populations in a private practice setting with problems including depression, anxiety, relational issues, marital conflict, work challenges, grief and children's issues.
I currently work in private practice in Louisville, Kentucky (See appointment days and times). I have the privilege of working with individual adults, couples, children, and families.
In concert with clients we discover where motivation for change begins, develop alternative stories that allow space for change to happen, and indentify the skills, strengths, and resilience the client already possesses. I have training in Screamfree Parenting, Trauma, Narrative Therapy and more. I have the privilege of working with Individuals, Couples, Families, and Children and Teens.
